During the year, the Finance Committee met monthly
to provide oversight of CCI’s financial conditions, operations,
and performance. Some of the committee activities are noted below:
- Recommend Camson Construction as the low
bidder for the renovation and build-out of the Takoma Park Health
Center.
- Reviewed for Board approval the agency’s
FY06 operating budget which included 12 additional clinical
hours at the Gaithersburg Solomon Health Center.
- Approved the staff recommendation of Walpert
& Wolpoff to conduct the agency’s FY05 A133 and financial
year-end audits.
- Monitored Medicaid payment changes which
delegated the MCOs to pay the entire prospective payment Medicaid
rate and reduced administrative overhead.
- Approved a Managed Care contract with Maryland
Physicians Care, increasing the number of participating MCOs
to three.
- Reviewed and recommended the agency’s
FY04 audit report for Board approval.
- Performed ongoing review of the agency’s
new and revised financial policies.
