Sandra Rubio, WIC staff at the Freeland Health Center, expressed surprise when Charlene Pe-Gerharz and Mark Langlais presented her with a certificate for performing CPR and saving a child’s life in the waiting room of the health center. “I was only doing my job,” she explained. Sandra noticed the child was on the floor and not breathing when she jumped from her desk chair to the rescue. The little one began breathing after a few minutes of CPR. Staff training in safety procedures is a top priority at CCI. Compliance with high JCAHO standards are taken seriously and practiced regularly. Thank you, Sandra, for doing a good job on the job!
