What is WIC?

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program

WIC is a federally funded program that provides healthy foods and nutrition counseling to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under age five. The program has an extraordinary 30-year record of preventing children’s health problems and improving their long term health, growth and development.

CCI-WIC Staff Will Show Participants How To:

  • Use foods to improve your family’s health.
  • Get information on healthy lifestyle for a pregnant woman.
  • Feed your baby and breastfeed successfully if you choose to.
  • Help your child learn to eat healthy food.
  • Use your WIC checks to buy food at the grocery store.
  • Obtain other health and social services.
