Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program
WIC is a federally funded program that provides healthy foods and nutrition counseling to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under age five. The program has an extraordinary 30-year record of preventing children’s health problems and improving their long term health, growth and development.
CCI-WIC Staff Will Show Participants How To:
- Use foods to improve your family’s health.
- Get information on healthy lifestyle for a pregnant woman.
- Feed your baby and breastfeed successfully if you choose to.
- Help your child learn to eat healthy food.
- Use your WIC checks to buy food at the grocery store.
- Obtain other health and social services.
